Bible Study

We believe that Bible Study provides the foundation for Christ-like living. Each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m., we have Bible Study classes for people of all ages, from infant through senior adult. Come and join us as we seek to learn more about living Christ-like lives.

Children's Ministries

During Sunday morning worship, our children through 3rd grade leave the sanctuary during the offertory to go to children's church, where they are involved in age-appropriate learning activites to increase the knowledge of God and the Bible.

We have children's choir for children from age 3 through 5th grade each Wednesday during the school year from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, our church hosts a week of Vacation Bible School in June. This year, our theme is "Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light!" The week is June 15-19, beginning at 6:00 p.m. each day, and ending at 8:45 p.m. We have mixed age group teams of 6 children each for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Preschoolers (age 3 through pre-K) are in their own group, and Youth (grades 6-12) are in their own group. For more info, click here.

Youth Ministries

Our youth (grades 6-12) are involved in Bible Study each Sunday morning. Under the leadership of Michael Simpson, they have specially planned outings and activities several times a year. Their future plans include more involvement in local missions and ministries, as well as trips to youth retreats and youth mission activities outside of our community.

Young-in-Heart

Our senior adult ministry, known as the Young-In-Heart, meets monthly for a covered-dish meal, on the first Tuesday of the month, at 11:30 a.m. Their program includes entertainment along with the meal. In addition, they plan apple and peach trips annually and have a great time any time they are together.

Music Ministries

The Music Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Hapeville seeks to equip all of God's creation with the tools to make music an integral part of our lives. Whether solo, in an ensemble or choir, or in the congregation, everyone is invited to lift their voices and to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

We have choirs for all ages, and we have a handbell choir for those who like to ring. We seek to provide opportunities for service to all who are interested, and our music ministry includes music from many different styles--classical, traditional, contemporary, gospel, and spiritual. Join us in singing "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."

We also reach out into our community by leading Backyard Bible Clubs in Hapeville parks, leading worship in a retirement apartment building, and serving meals quarterly in a local homeless shelter.
