Worship Services

Traditional Worship Service
Sundays, 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Hapeville First Baptist Church provides a wonderful traditional worship experience for the south side of the metro Atlanta area. Elements of this service include congregational hymn singing, responsive and Scripture readings, choral and dramatic presentations, and scripture-based messages.

The church has a 28-rank pipe organ, built by the Schantz Organ Company, which is considered to be one of the finest instruments on Atlanta's southside. It has a 3-manual console with full pedalboard and 1,701 pipes hosued in three chambers. The superb acoustics of the sanctuary enhance the organ's tonal quality as it provides a variety of music for worship, meditation, and praise. The organ's regular use in concerts, weddings, funerals, baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies, and other events has met important needs of the congregation as well as the community at large.

Nursery available for infants and toddlers

We provide high-quality care for babies & toddlers during all regular worship services. This allows parents to enjoy the church ministries, which focus on their needs, and allows children to enjoy a fun, nurturing environment with toys and activities that are age-appropriate.

Informal Traditional Worship Service
Sundays, 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room

Our Sunday evening traditional worshp service is very similar to our Sunday morning service, except that we meet in the smaller space of the Choir Room, located behind the sanctuary. The smaller meeting space allows for more informal interaction among the worshippers and the worship leaders. This service also includes traditional hymn singing accompanied by the piano. The service is casual and relaxed in nature.

Worship Café (Contemporary Worship Service)
Sundays, 6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Worship Café is our contemporary worship service that meets Sunday evenings at 6:15 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. The worship experience is led by our Worship Café praise band and includes contemporary praise music accompanied by multimedia presentations. The message is delivered by one of our staff and is presented in a relaxed atmosphere supplemented by multimedia presentations. The messages are topical in nature and deal with contemporary, every-day issues of Christ-like living.

There is a time of fellowship and refreshments, including coffee and hot chocolate and desserts, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study
Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room

Our mid-week service is a time of prayer and Bible study. We begin the service by sharing prayer concerns of our church family and community, followed by a time of prayer for these various concerns. The prayer time is followed by a brief Bible study led by our pastor.
